Pin Analysis
The analysis of the pins was performed to ensure the pins could withstand the loads that would be applied to the car. In Figure A.5, it shows the analysis of the pins based of the drop test calculation of 44.5 N. The analysis was performed using the double shear method. After the factor of safety was applied the minimum diamter found was .0013 m but a diameter of 2 mm will be used.
